Part 1 | Ransom

Jesus told his disciples several times that he was traveling to Jerusalem and that there he would die. The brother, James and John, asked for prominent positions of authority and prestige in Jesus' coming kingdom, but Jesus had to explain to them that what was ahead was going to be a brutal time not a glorious time. Why not a glorious time? Jesus said: He came to give his life as a ransom payment for many. Why is a ransom needed? What is it? As we prepare for Easter, we'll remember Jesus' mission on earth, to be a ransom for us.
