Devotionals

Our relationship with God is not just for Sundays. It's for every day of the week. Below are a couple devotionals, written by members of Canyon Creek, meant to help you connect daily with the Lord during various seasons of the year.

Lent & Easter

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ stand at the center of the Christian faith. Lent is a forty-day season of preparation and repentance, beginning on Ash Wednesday and leading to Good Friday, the day Jesus was crucified. Many Christians choose to fast during Lent, following Jesus’ example in the wilderness, though this practice is optional. Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. This devotional spends two weeks after Easter Sunday, reflecting on the risen Christ.

Advent

This devotional is designed to lead you through the season of Advent. The word ‘advent’ means the arrival of something, or someone, important. In the Christian tradition Advent refers to the season leading up to Christmas. It begins four Sundays before Christmas and runs through Christmas Eve. For good measure, we’ve included a devotional for Christmas Day too.
