Who is Harbor House?

Harbor House Ministries expresses the love of Jesus to disadvantaged youth, immigrants and low-income families through after school and summer programs for children and teens, adult ESL classes, and emergency food and clothing. Canyon Creek Men’s Ministry hosts periodic workdays to help maintain their facility. Our church, in conjunction with Little Bridges Child Care Center, participates in the Christmas Adopt-A-Family program and makes donations to the Harbor House Christmas Store. Where is Harbor House?

The 2010 United States Census found the city of Oakland to be the second most diverse community in the country. Harbor House is located in the San Antonio district of Oakland.

How do I get involved?

Become a math or reading/writing tutor to the children attending the after school programs at Harbor House from Mondays thru Fridays. Donate your gently used desktop computers, laptops, or iPads. During the Christmas season, Adopt-a-Family or make donations of new or unused toys to the Harbor House Christmas Store.

Volunteers are needed at the Christmas store on Dec. 10, 2016 from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
