Part 2 | Covenant

A covenant is an agreement between two parties where specific actions are promised ahead of time. What does covenant have to do with the Sacraments? Everything! The concept of covenant is present throughout all of Scripture. It’s in the background of everything we read, interpret and apply from the Bible, especially the Sacraments. God, in Christ, has made an eternal covenant to redeem his people, and it changes everything about how we relate to him.
