Part 3 | Faith and Leisure | Pastor Kevin Timmons
Scripture: Exodus 20:8-11
"Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work..." God created work good. But work is not everything. We were also meant to stop working periodically and make space for leisure. During this break from work we are free to do things that bring rest to our souls. Take a nap. Play a game. Enjoy nature. But so often we struggle to protect time for leisure. And even when we do, we may find that our hearts are still working. Where can we find true rest? Where is the intersection of our faith with leisure?

Vacation Bible School Registration is here! Jesus is the Lord of lords and King of Kings. Join the Knights and Ladies of the realm to prepare to receive our One King, Jesus Christ! We will enjoy bible lessons and medieval themed games/crafts as we grow closer as a church family. VBS is for students entering 1st grade - 6th grade in the FALL of 2023. Please do not allow finances to be an issue. Camperships are available for current CCPC Ministry families.

Life Groups are a place where people grow in their walk with Christ as they love one another. A group of eight to ten are led by leaders in the church who desire to see people grow in their walk with the Lord, gain deeper knowledge of Scripture, and provide a community of care and support. Life Groups make up the backbone of Canyon Creek in its effort to share the Gospel with the San Ramon Valley. We have a saying, "Every Sunday is a good Sunday to join a Life Group." So if you are interested please let us know.

Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) is a campus ministry that reaches college students from all backgrounds with the hope of Jesus Christ. Through the ministry of RUF, students discover the love of Christ, find their significance in God’s redemptive story, and engage in the life of His church. Canyon Creek partners with RUF ministries on the campuses of Berkeley, Stanford, San Jose State, and Hawaii.
